I have been producing hip hop beats for about 3-4 years now. in my efforts to promote my beats online i have become a member of virtually every beat selling site in existence.
I have been an active member of beatsweeper.com since the very early stages, i joined in Sep 2009. the site was only launced in early aug 2009,
which i guess would make it one of the youngest beat selling sites on the scene.
nevertheless Beatsweeper definitely holds it's own amongst the competition!
if you sign up for their free producer account, you can upload 10 beats to your customizable profile. multiple videos (youtube videos too)
you can also participate in beat battles, create or vote in polls, post live updates to advertise your latest beats, download music contracts for your own use, create radio stations & playlists, get featured in the producer spotlight & beat charts. create custom banners to help advertise your music.
And thats just the tip of the iceberg!
theres plenty of features that i haven't even sussed out yet.
they take a 20% commission from your beat sales
with the option of upgrading to a V.I.P account, where you have unlimited beat uploads & you receive 100% of your beat sales. i paid around $50.00 US for an annual V.I.P membership & made it back in 3 weeks, so i can verify that they are making decent sales for such a young site.
also each beat sale i made, i received my money within 24 hours. some of the other sites have been known to hold your cash for up to six months, which totally sucks balls.
If you're a producer looking to sell your beats online, i highly recommend Beatsweeper.com

if you're looking to buy beats for your albums demo's or mixtapes, check out their beat shop here: http://www.beatsweeper.com/index.php?t=media&i=i&o=3

I Think Beats Are Like People. They are all different some weak some strong some clean some dirty. U can find gems at all the sites, but there is some talent At Beatsweeper. As it gets bigger it will get better, and every team has its stars the beats you liked are the ones you should support. Thats What makes The Net so Good, a average beat to you could be a hit for the next artist.
